PANDEMONIUM

The fantasy world of Gregory's novel features demons, possession, and real-life author Philip K. Dick's part in the whole shebang. Even more worrisome, these demons are suddenly refusing to stay exorcised. Peter Berkrot's performance of this strange story, though entertaining, risks being a bit distracting at times. His narration echoes old-time detective noir; this style, coupled with the halting speech he adopts for some characters, may prove jarring to some listeners. However, Berkrot's delivery is still enjoyable--consistently dynamic and entertaining. This story is fantasy, perhaps even dark fantasy, but not horror.
