THE LEGACY

A videotape received at the death of his estranged father plunges a young stockbroker into a morass of danger and intrigue that, unknown to him, reaches to the highest levels of government and involves some of the world's most dangerous secrets. This competent, but completely conventional, page-turner demands little of the oral interpreter beyond keeping it moving. This reviewer wonders, not for the first time, why George Guidall's enormous talent was not directed toward richer and more demanding material.
