THE UNDECIDED MOLECULE

Animal, plant, or mineral? A lone molecule is brought before a very, very high court in a trial to decide its identity and purpose, while the molecule wants to decide for itself. L.A. Theatre Works harkens back to the best in 1940s radio drama with this quick and witty live stage production of Norman Corwin's delightful fantasy, directed by the 90-year-old author himself. Corwin, an undisputed master at bringing theater techniques to early radio, playfully wrote this piece in Ogden Nash-style rhymed verse. LATW adds period music, wonderfully silly sound effects, and comic talents such as Edward Asner as the prosecutor and Carl Reiner as the judge for a worthy celebration of classic radio comedy.
