Using biblical histories and personal experiences as examples, Billups does not shy away from the hard truths of life but works to inspire the listener to find the lessons in these trials. Billups's emotions are powerful in this audiobook experience, and at least once or twice the listener can hear her voice break over a particularly difficult moment. However, most of the time her bubbly tone acts to liven up the material--as if one is attending a particularly entertaining series of church sermons.
