The theme of deception is key throughout this Christian fiction story narrated by Cecily White with clarity and depth of emotion. During WWII, Eloise Marshall and Phillip Clayton face tough decisions as they track down a traitor. Along the way, the two are put into awkward and, at times, dangerous situations. White captures the characters' feelings, offering appropriate levels of angst, fear, anger, or sadness. She does a better job of representing the females' voices; the males' vocals are not quite believable. Repeated phrases and ideas crop up, a detail that listeners may notice.
