Pam Turlow delivers this lively mystery, which presents the possibility of the existence of vampires from a Christian viewpoint. With precise intonation she portrays Lauryn McBride, of Abbey Hills, Missouri, and Amede Dastillon, from an old New Orleans family, who is drawn to the Ozark town in search of a family member. Together they are lured into a situation that suggests strange connections and long-held secrets. Providing clear differentiation between the characters, Turlow delivers the story in a tone reminiscent of a young adult who has witnessed the events.
