This book is a distillation of interviews that David Frost did with evangelist Billy Graham over decades. The content is interesting, revealing, and provocative. But it's hard to get past the fact that neither Frost nor Graham is actually speaking. With two narrators standing in for such well-known voices, it takes effort to concentrate on the content. Frost's portion is not even read with a British accent, the result being that references to his English upbringing are harder to relate to. And the Graham portions don't reflect his gentle North Carolina mountain dialect. The material itself is good and worth the listener's time. But the presentation fails to realize the potential of the work. R.C.G. © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine [Published: AUGUST 2014]
